This album presents the sound illustration of an exhibition on traditional music from the County of Nice. Featuring Michel Bianco, the Corou de Berra and various musicians and musicologists immersed in this culture, this project was intitiated in 2012 in Berre les Alpes and presented in the Alpes Maritimes department as well as in other regions. Over the years, what with new ideas, means and meetings, it has reached its full potential… The instruments exhibited are played in the County of Nice and have been instrumental in the elaboration of its specific -and continually evolving- musical heritage. Accordions, hurdy-gurdies, fifes, drums, bells, mandolines, organs, mechanical music and songs, all illustrate how a tradition that lives on is a tradition that creates.
