Leaded by Laurent Cavalié, one of the most popular figure of Occitan modern artistic creation, Du Bartàs takes old songs and colour them with new dynamic musical arrangements, thus reinventing them for the whirlwind of the major popular music festivals. Carried along by the warm Mediterranean winds, their songs bring unusual sounds to traditional Occitan music : the sounds of charango, South-American cuatro, bendir and Oriental violin shed a new light on the delightfully eloquent and poetic Languedoc music…
